#1 Akashiganga
Akashiganga contains a lofty waterfall. Akashiganga is known for its scenic beauty. Picnickers throng it in winter. It is also a place of pilgrimage and modern temples have sprung up at this place, which are visited by devotees all the year around. Akashiganga is a picnic spot 50 km south-east of Nagaon, in Nagaon District of Assam. This place is close to Dabaka. It lies on the Dabaka-Dimapur road. The place got its name from a nearby waterfall. Akashiganga also finds mention as a "pithasthan" (a holy place associated with Shakti cult) in the Kalika Puran. Pilgrims take a holy dip in the nearby water pool formed by the Akashiganga waterfall. The site also offers a view of the Brahmaputra River from a distance. The sacred Kund in Akashiganga is the chief attraction of the place. There is also a temple nearby. 100 meters down this path, one can observe a glowing object in the Kund. But as you move closer to it, the object is no more visible. Hordes of pilgrims come to this place to take a holy dip in the Kund so as to wash off their sins.
#2 Bogibil
Bogibeel is also another very popular picnic spot situated near Dibrugarh, on the bank of Brahmaputra. The place is filled with glittering sand all along. Here the famous Bogibeel bridge of 4.94 kilometres (3.07 mi) long bridge, will become the longest bridge of its kind in India and the longest bridge across the Brahmaputra River.
#3 Chandubi Lake
Chandubi Lake is natural lake located in Kamrup district and at a distance of 64 kilometers from Guwahati. The place is calm and peaceful covered by deep forest, tea garden and small and distinct villages. The lake is bestowed with scenic natural beauty. Its chief feature is the natural lagoon that has been formed in the lake. The lake offers to its visitors the opportunity to go fishing in the waters of the lake. The administrators of the lake have also provided the tourists with the provisions to go rowing in the calm lake waters. Adding on to the flavour, tourist can also choose to visit the lake during the changdubi festival in first week of January. Located not far from the historic Sivasagar town, the hillocks can be found in foothills of Nagaland. The burial tombs of ancient Ahom dynasty rulers of Assam are found here. These tombs have often drawn comparisons to pyramids in Egypt.
The craftsmanship and architectural excellence of the tombs are enthralling to say the least. The place was actually the former capital of the Ahom rulers. There are about 150 such tombs called maidams but only 30 of them are protected by the ASI. The Su-Ka-Pha Park set up by NGO Probah has proved to be a major attraction for tourists

Located in Chapnalla in Assam’s Nagaon District, Champawati Kunda is a beautiful waterfall. The site has become one of the most sought after picnic spots in the state. It is adjacent to Kaliabor -a historic town in Assam. The lush greenery and hilly terrain soothes the eyes. There are a few ancient temples that are located near the waterfall. Nature lovers can also explore the Laokhowa Wild Life Sanctuary which is adjacent to the place. The ideal time to visit the location is October to February. Most tourists take taxis and Buses from Nagaon to reach the waterfall.
